Riikka Lenkkeri
The people Lenkkeri paints are ordinary - they are not beautiful in any classical sense, but normal, everyday figures. The position, body language and relations between subjects play a key role in her works. The spaces depicted between people are often used to signify something fundamental about their relationship, such as the state of affection, power or care.
